LITR 202 - Black Literature |
Recurring themes, images, symbols, and ideas that one sees in the works of some of the twentieth century's most important African-American writers. The substance will vary: poetry, fiction (i.e., the novel and the short story) and some drama will be read. Nella Larsen, Wright, McPherson, Brooks, and Baraka will be studied. This course meets General Education requirements: Cultural Enrichment and Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues, and new Fall 2017 Culture and US Diversity. Pre-Requisites:ENGL 150.
