MATH 117 - Contemporary Mathematics |
A terminal course in mathematics satisfying the General Education quantitative skills requirement. Exposes students to a wide variety of mathematical concepts and their applications. Topics include algebraic applications, geometry, statistics, probability and mathematics of finance. Note: Math 117 cannot be used as a prerequisite for courses requiring Math 115 as a prerequisite. Should a student change his or her academic program to one that requires Math 115 as a prerequisite for subsequent courses the student will be required to complete Math 115. Pre-Requisites: MATH 109 with a grade of C- or better, or MATH 110 with a grade of C- or better, or 19 on ACT or 460 on pre 2016 SAT or 500 post 2016 SAT.
